Tasting Notes: Sibiliana's Nero d'Avola Roceno is bright ruby red. On the nose, scents of cherry, plum and black mulberry jam, followed by pepper and cloves, and a subtle mineral base reminiscent of wet earth. On the palate, it is exuberant, structured, with good freshness, lively tannins, light sapidity and a vinous finish. Frank wine, very good accompanied by Ragusan scacce, as well as chicken pie, and again by a sausage and mushroom pizza.
From The Winery: Nero d'Avola Roceno di Sibiliana is one of the wines of the Roceno line dedicated exclusively to Sicilian natives in their most authentic pleasure. Sibiliana represents the pact between the winemakers, members of Cantine Europa, for the selection of vineyards and grapes that deserve all the most careful attention. Nero d'Avola Roceno is produced in the province of Trapani, on silt-clay soils, rich in minerals. The vinification takes place entirely in steel to preserve the vine's characteristics of freshness.
