Seven Hills Cabernet Sauvignon "Seven Hills Vineyard" 2014 Walla Walla

2014 was a very warm vintage, giving Seven Hills ripe fruit flavors, and concentrated berry structure, which produced firm tannins framing rich fruit density. This old vine Cabernet has a dark red color and a generous nose of black currant, cherry, spice, desert herb and white pepper. The palate is plush and mouth-filling yet framed with silky, fine-grained tannins and lifting acidity. It has flavors of black cherry, cassis, coffee bean, herb, tobacco leaf and spice. The wine will improve significantly with cellaring over the first five years, and will hold nicely and continue to develop for ten or more years from vintage.
