Winemaker: Andrea Gillet
Tasting Notes: deep ruby red, with aromas of ripe berries and toffee alongside aromas of vanilla, soft mocha and sweet spices of vanilla and cloves. It has an intense palate, showing structure, elegance and smooth tannins with a lingering fruity finish fruity.
AGING: 6 months average in French Oak barrels
Vineyard/Terroir: Ungrafted vines from a century year old mountain vineyard give the purest
expression of Cabernet Sauvignon for more complex flavors and intriguing texture. The vineyard is 1,750 feet in elevation, which means the soil has exceptional drainage due to very rocky soil. The frosty drafts from the 22,000 foot Andes cool the vineyard at night and the coastal breezes help cool the vineyard during the day, resulting in wine with exceptional flavor and texture development.
