Louis Jadot Nuits-Saint-Georges 2017 Burgundy - France

Nuits-Saint-Georges is the southernmost commune of the Côte de Nuits, with primarily limestone and marl soils. The grapes are handpicked and sorted, then undergo fermentation. After a long maceration, a proportion of the wine is set to age in French oak barrels. The wine is bottled without fining or filtration.

HARVEST NOTE

2017 was a very warm vintage without any major difficulties. Production volumes were finally restored to normal levels.

TASTING NOTE

This is a hearty red wine with substantial tannins, a distinct earthy note, and long finish with spice and dried fruit nuances.

FOOD PAIRING

Nuits-St.-Georges pairs well with grilled meats or Coq au Vin.
