Matt Iaconis is a rocket scientist that was studying to be an astronaut before he decided wine was even cooler than space. So he dropped aeronautics and picked up a degree in winemaking from UC Davis.

This wine is a pleasant surprise. It begins with a juicy red fruit, cherries and raspberries, medium bodied with a velvety mouth feel. This wine has a balanced character, with smooth tannins leading to a respectable finish. This lovely Cabernet is a great example of an affordable gem from Paso Robles, and so I rate it 5 stars.
