Cépages: 90% Malbec - 9% Merlot - 1% Petit Verdot
93 Point Vinous (Joaquín Hidalgo): The 2022 Malbec A Lisa originates from Mainqué in Río Negro, Patagonia. A bright, purple-hued wine, it offers fresh plum and cherry on the nose, complemented by delicate lavender and herb undertones. Dry and moderately lean, fine-grained tannins and a juicy mouthfeel lead to a long-lasting, flavorful finish. This is an unusual red within the Argentine context.
Tasting Notes: Elegant, medium bodied with well balanced structure, and has excellent silky red fruit notes. As it opens I enjoyed discovering more subtle notes such as dark chocolate and even some minerality.
From The Winery: An exciting twist on the Argentinian Malbec we know and love! 'A Lisa,' from Patagonian winery Bodega Noemia, is a blend of 90% Malbec, 9% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot. The Rio Negro region where this winery sits has some amazing terroir influence: former glaciers, limestone bedrock, and the mineral filled waters of the Limay and Neuquen rivers. These geographical factors allow for a unique, incredibly smooth, and enjoyable Malbec.
